I write this note as glorious weather is upon us which gives a great excuse to take our catalogue out into the garden along with a cool drink!
This sale was prepared after Chris and I undertook taking a stand at Finlandia 2017. This knocked a week out of one of our lotting cycles giving us only enough time to get all the best bits lotted for Sale 349.
This sale features some very fine lots and items we picked up in Finland.
Highlights include.
HONG KONG vast lot of pristine UM KGVI to 2016 highly complete at great expense including definitive cylinder blocks and modern sheetlets (often offered below face value!). This collection filled over thirty albums.
AIRMAILS OF BRITISH AFRICA incredible old time lot written up on pages featuring 300+ flight covers with many dated from 1930’s including rare flown internal services (only handfuls carried), Imperial Airways flights and many others with good Sudan section.
GREAT BRITAIN Penny Blacks with 15 selected four margin stamps each offered as individuals also a very interesting collection of GB official ovpts including scarce used multiples.
And so much else throughout the catalogue.
