When I think about what I collect I sometimes think about what I could of collected. If you visit national and international stamp exhibitions you can view in awe amazing collections of topics that you know nothing about. I’ve seen some spectacular ensembles built up over many years. Recently I received a magnificent catalogue from a premier Swiss stamp auction company for a collection of Australia. Whom ever  advised this collector on what to buy is a person at the top of his game. Over 700 lots of gems with States material featuring postal history and premium quality classic issues to post 1913 material containing high values, monogram singles and errors. This collector went for everything! If your pockets are not that deep you can just study one issue or one topic.

It’s always worthwhile seeking out specialist advice. Here at Philangles we offer free opinions on any aspect of philately. If you see something elsewhere and you want my opinion please contact me. I hate seeing collectors making mistakes or buying items not quite right or incorrectly described.

Wishing you all the best
